Rhinegold in Regensburg: City Theatre brings Wagner opera to bayernhafen

Rhinegold in Regensburg! On 3 and 4 July 2021 bayernhafen Regensburg will be witness to a spectacular open-air opera when Regensburg City Theatre stages ‘The Rhinegold’ live at the port. Just like the previous fantastic successes of ‘Tosca’ (pictured) and the ‘Flying Dutchman’, the opera will be performed as a unique, atmospheric open-air experience at the West Port.

There will also be another impressive large-scale projection onto the Municipal Warehouse and, as in the previous productions, the audience will be seated on the opposite side, at the North Quay. The Philharmonic Orchestra of Regensburg and the soloists are already practising for the performance at this special location. bayernhafen Regensburg is the freight traffic hub for the whole of East Bavaria and the market leader in Bavaria for inland waterway cargo handling. bayernhafen and the companies operating from the West Port are delighted to be able to support this event.
